Obama Is an Elitist

Both the Hillary Clinton and John McCain campaigns have come out strongly against the comments Barack Obama made a few days ago about small town America, and both candidates have labeled Senator Obama an elitist.

You know I don't agree on anything either Senators McCain or Clinton say, but on this I am in complete agreement.

I mean who would know more about elitism than a four-term Senator married into money? And who else would know better about an elitist attitude than a woman who had made more than $100 million over the last seven years?

Just look at all Obama's elitist upbringing: raised in a single-parent home, lived in poverty, worked as a civil rights lawyer. I mean nothing says ka-ching like working for civil rights.

Yes Obama's past is replete with examples of how he has snubbed his nose at regular folk, from working on voter registration, to working for whistle blowers, from working on voting rights cases, to ensuring the fair treatment of the accused and guaranteeing fair trials. What a snob!

Yes, I think we owe Senators McCain and Clinton a debt of thanks for pointing out how elitist Barack Obama is. And in fact, I think I will tell them that the next time I am invited to one of their $10,000 a plate fund raisers.

Hi Blanca,

Let me add: he is black right - then he is definitely elitist, unlike both his white opponents. :-)--Durano, done!

I just pray people see that Billary only wants to be president for the historical value. The power hungry witch doesn't make controversial comments about small town America ONLY because, she doesn't care enough about us to talk about us unless it's to pull her Harpy act on Obama. He could have put it better, but at least he's paying attention.

I think Obama was actually too nice. He should have said it a lot more clearly ... too many folks in rural America are bigots who have been hoodwinked by the conservatives into believing that gays and immigrants are what's dragging down the economy rather than the supply-side, pro-war, fossil fuel heavy policies pursued by a Republican White House. Oops ... we're not suppose to mention those kinds of dirty little secrets in public. It's bad politics. When the media glorifies being an idiot, even the most moderately intelligent among us becomes an "elitist."

Well, I'm not a fan of Obama. Actually I don't think we have a choice at all this time just like its been the past two times.

Buts its becoming apparent that Obama has some issues, whether they are this or because he has set in a racist church for years. Obama is not what he would have people believe and you guys and girls better wake up and not elect him or by the end of another four years we will all be totally screwed.

An excellent post. Only Billary could accuse Obama of 'elitism' and keep a straight face. Workers are bitter because Billary sold them dwn the river with Nafta, and is trying to with Cafta, all the while saying she's a friend of the worker. Thanks.
