Thank God the Californians decided to pass Proposition 8 and write discrimination into their constitution. This is what we Republicans have been waiting for. And now we have it.And now it's time to get a little of the other things we have wanted for a long time.
So I am going to start several petitions in the state of California to put a couple of other proposals on the ballot in California next election.
How about Proposition X: marriage is between a white man and a white woman. I like this one. You know we Republicans always want to bring the country back to the Leave It to Beaver days. And you thought we just wanted white picket fences? Well, you got the white right. You know not only were kids better behaved in the 1950's, but most blacks really couldn't vote, marry who they wanted, live or work where they wanted, or have any say in society. I miss the good old days.
And then there is Poposition M: marriage is between a non-Mormon man and a non-Mormon woman. How is that for backstabbing? All you nut jobs in Salt Lake thought we were your friends? Hah! We used you, and now we are taking our revenge on you magic underpants wearing screwballs.
But my favorite is Proposition S: it's legal to own people again. I've always wanted this one. After all, my family had to actually work for a living after Mr. Lincoln stole all our property. I bet the 70% of you blacks who voted for Proposition 8 feel a little stupid now. Wait until I get myself a nice black buck to while away the hours.
Thank you for opening the door for all kinds of crazy discrimination. And maybe I can finally get rid of a couple of thorns in my side like Governor Schwarzenegger and Arianna Huffington. Proposition A will make it illegal for anyone with an annoying accent to be a resident of California.
The bitch is baaaack! Sphere: Related Content

How about Proposition MP--From now on sex can only be performed in the Missionary Position and only with your legal spouse (as defined by Proposition 8.)
No oral, no hand jobs, no hookers, no S&M...just a man face to face with his very own wife.
Oh hell, even Republicans wouldn't go for that, now would they?
Great post! So true. One day, I hope in the not too distant future, America can actually BE what the Constitution says we are.

OMG... I love Prop A. I can't stand Arnold or Arianna.
I live here and find it disgusting that 52% of the voters decided it was OK to take away another human being's right.
Ah, I do love subtly-mocking sarcasm. Thank you for a wonderful post.

I know that a lot of people dislike the fact that Proposition 8 passed in California. However, looking for the silver lining, it looks like it may be good for those of us in Connecticut.
Love Makes a Family here in Connecticut has put together a Wedding Catalog for people who want to live in the Constitution State which still seems to believe that discrimination has no place in the constitution.
It will be good for business here in Connecticut, and if we benefit from a brain drain from the Discrimination State to the Constitution State, we'll I hope that will help grow business in our state as well.
Ugh, I know, I mean, we should totally get rid of all the extra-special equal rights across the board, donthchya think?
I say we fight for Proposition BPK next - let's put women back in their proper place, Barefoot, Pregnant, and in the Kitchen!
Heh, thanks for the laugh :D
where's the discrimination? are homosexuals a special class of people that the constitution had to be amended - instead of marriage is between a man and woman - it would now be - what?- between two persons? would that constitute incest too? what about bigamy or polygamy? surely these bigamist and polygamist and incestuous lovers have rights too.
OMG....desperateblogger....you cannot be serious??? You equate incest with being gay? What planet are you from?
I ventured over to your blog. Very nice....lots of nice pronounciations of the love of GOD. You talk it I see...you just dont live it. Takes all kinds.

laurie: the point is if same sex marriages are allowed, what's there to stop us from forever evolving man made laws to "suit" us? if same sex marriage is allowed- for the sake of legalities and rights- what about polygamous marriages and incestuous relations? don't they have rights too? i'm just asking.
i'm not saying such should happen for i'm nor for such relationships too.
we all have a sort of a moral compass in living our daily lives. what's right for you might not be so with me.
thanks for dropping by my blogs. but i guess you don't have the right to say that i speak about love but not live it. i believe that one should love the sinner but not the sin.
oh and btw, i'm on planet earth too.
blanca: sorry for the long comment and may i say i love reading your posts - fresh and interesting.
Desperateblogger...I can question you when you equate incest with being gay. That just shows ignorance..it really does. Yep..you can say what you want on your blog...I dont recall telling you not to. You brought the ignorance to Blanca's blog though...
What on earth does it hurt you or anyone else if gay people can be married. Perhaps its too close for me. I have a sis who is gay...and being Canadian she is allowed to be, and is married. She gets up everyday. She goes to work..she pays her bills..she gives to charity...she attends a huge and beautiful church in the city near her.
She is much kind kinder...and much more non judgemental that many christians I know. I guess I am just tired of people professing a love of God and then telling everybody else what they should or should not be doing. Thats all..no more no less.

laurie: you're the one "spewing" hatred, not me. you're the one who is ignorant on where i based my answer.
fyi: i have gay friend (guy) who is presently in canada. he got married 3 years ago and recently divorced. i sent him gifts and stuff for the occasion ans wihed him well. i've a sis-in-law who's gay too and currently living with her partner.i love them but i do not condone them nor do i say "hey! what you're doing is wrong"... i just don't agree with same sex marriage because it does not conform with my beliefs.
however, i do not go about brandishing my Bible and cross and condemning gay people or for that matter, anyone i perceive to be sinning... because i too am a sinner.
do you even merit a response? there you are hopping from my blog and blanca's blog leaving comments that are bordering on insults, oh well, insults.
anyway, laurie, i'm not afraid to stand by my conviction for i do not hide behind the cloak of anonymity.cheers!
blanca: i'm really sorry for the exchanges here. you may want to delete them if you see the need. thanks.
desperateblogger..if saying you are ignorant is "spewing hatred"...then so be it. A hatred spewer I am then.
